Perhaps for the same reason that ID theorists are allowed to critique
evolution, but any evolutionist who attempts to critique ID theory, or even
simply to request that it explain its theoretical bases and provide empirical
evidence to support those bases, is labeled a pseudoscientist and either
ignored or reviled.
