SJ: Here is an article on the Kansas controversy which promotes the intelligent
design movement, as an alternative to the usual Darwinist stereotype of
creationists as "Bible-thumping, flat-Earth know-nothings".

No not all creationists suffer from ignorance from science, merely those who insist that despite the evidence to the contrary, their interpretation of the Bible is correct.

SJ: Do we want our children to continue to be exposed to a closed system of
scientific philosophy, or to be encouraged in a genuine spirit of open
inquiry?

Of course this is empty rethoric for which SJ is so famous. Open inquiry is good and that is why ID is being exposed for what it is.
