I have been meaning to get the original article and haven't yet. I have read
of this in other places but had not documented it. It seems that finger
movement is coincident with the decision. I just tried the experiment
myself. As near as subjective time can tell, I feel like there is no delay
between my decision and the motion of my finger. If that is true, then there
is travel time for the information going down my arm (and I was using the arm
with the slow nerve). The signal must have left before I was aware of the
decision. I wonder if there are any "shrinks" on the reflector who can
answer this?
