Like Dave, I too have been on the reflector for awhile -- over a year or so.
I also am needing to devote my attention elsewhere at this time. I do
wish to thank all of you who have participated and added to my per-
spective on this issue. I have been involved with this debate in one form
or another for over 20 years, and will continue to do so. I'll check in
every once and awhile on the archives whenever I seem to have the urge.
My current endeavors seem to take me into the area of crime mapping,
and if any of you are interested in taking a look at what I'm doing there,
