*None* of these things is particularly important, however there is every
reason to expect that there was some actual history associated with
creation which, an observer permitted the opportunity, could behold.
There is also reason to expect that the Genesis accounts are in some
sense accurate, as that would be in keeping with God's revealed character.
However, as to whether God cares whether any particular one of us
is YEC, PC, or EC, undoubtedly He cares only due to the context in
which we hold a particular view:
One man regards one day above another, another regards every day
{alike.} Let each man be fully convinced in his own mind. ...
The faith which you have, have as your own conviction before God. Happy
is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves. But he who
doubts is condemned if he eats, because {his eating is} not from faith;
and whatever is not from faith is sin. [Rom 14:5,22-23]
Jesus well understood that some things which were true might not be
palatable to those to whom He spoke:
I have many more things to say to you,
but you cannot bear {them} now. [John 16:12]
And if you care to accept {it,} he himself is Elijah, who was
to come. He who has ears to hear, let him hear. [Matt 11:14-15]
