Totally agree. If being "ignored or ridiculed" was a criteria, then
Christianity would never have got off first base!
This seems to be advocating the expediency argument? The same
argument was once used by a religious leader called Caiaphas:
"Then one of them, named Caiaphas, who was high priest that year,
spoke up, "You know nothing at all! You do not realize that it is
better for you that one man die for the people than that the whole
nation perish." (Jn 11:49-50)
