The Twelve Politically Correct Days of the Winter Solstice
On the twelfth earth-spin-determined time interval of the
Eurocentrically imposed midwinter festival, my significant other
conveyed without demand of prior or post payment, but from
a state of non-scientific altrusim, to me,
Twelve male human beings reclaiming their inner warrior through ritual
drumming upon instruments made from 90% recycled material.
Eleven members in good standing of the Musicians Equity Union piping,
companioned by an additional 17 piece orchestra as called for in the
standard union contract even though they will not be called upon to emit
even a single note of music.
Ten melanin challenged testosterone poisoned scions of the dominent
patriarchal ruling class system rebounding.
Nine persons of uncertain gender engaged in rhythmic self expression in a
dance approved by both the TEA and NEA.
Eight economically disadvantaged female human beings engaged in the
disapproved process of stealing milk products from enslaved
bovine-Americans.
Seven endangered swans swimming on federally protected wetlands.
Six enslaved foul-Americans producing stolen non-human animal products.
Five golden symbols of culturally sanctioned enforced domestic
incarceration.
Four hours of recorded whale songs.
Three deconstructionist poets.
Two Sierra Club calendars printed on recycled processed tree carcasses.
And a spotted owl activist chained to an old-growth pear tree!
