For those who might be interested, I have put on the web my course notes
(rewritten for readability) for a 7-week Adult Ed class I taught at my church
this Spring on "Science and Nature in Christian Perspective" You can find the
material at:

Constructive criticism (preferably off-line unless there is something of
clear interest to the group) is welcome, of course -- but my Fall schedule is
crazy enough that I make no guarantee that I will have time to address comments.
Those who have been around the ASA will see that I borrowed concepts and
illustrations from a number of ASA members (Deborah Haarsma, Richard Bube,
George Murphy, Paul Seely, and more). Thanks to many of you for stimulating my
thinking on these issues over the past 10 years or so.
One observation that might be interesting -- I was a bit fearful going in
about how some of this material would be received at what is a moderately
conservative Evangelical church (in the PCUSA, but at the conservative end of that
denomination). As it turned out, the only week I encountered significant
hostility was neither the week I talked about Genesis nor the week I talked
about evolution, but rather the week I talked about stewardship of God's
creation.
