[asa] last respects

Some of you may recall that about two years ago Peter Cook joined this email discussion list. After about six months he participated less frequently as he was frustrated by the inability of the list to be interested in topics other than evolution. He really wanted to move on to other key issues.

We just received word that he died of a heart attack while mowing his lawn Saturday afternoon. He was an ASA member, an elder in the church we attended in NY, a colleague of mine at IBM for 30 years, and my close friend. He was planning to retire next month.

This note pays last respects to a former list member, a lecturer at local ASA meetings, an ASA member, and my dear friend. As God used his life to inspire many people, may God also use his death to bring others to Him.
