Re: Minority believe in resurrection

Greetings:

I'm sure that many of us grew up with Easter Morning sermons that
offered a closely argued apologetic for the bodily resurrection of Jesus
Christ. Probably, many will hear the same this Sunday.
Critical scholarship early on trashed the doctrine. Liberals discard it
on the trash heap of "whatever" religion. Yet it remains a central
doctrine of the Christian faith for Ted Davis, Jack Haas and many on
this list.

Does denial of the bodily resurrection separate one from the blessed
hope? Only God knows.

However, as a core belief of the founders and continuing ASA
constituency, it (IMHO) does not belong on the same level of debate as
YE, ID, pre-adamic man, or even abortion.

Lets move on to these more mundane issues.

With shield close at hand,

Jack Haas
