    No, there are equally balmy claims from some of those trying to
    explain away all miracles, such as the suggestion that Elijah was
    really pouring lighter fluid on his altar rather than water. As the
    technology for refining petroleum is substantially later than Elijah,
    even the somewhat liberal commentay in which I saw this idea cited
    readily recognized it as bad.
