Excellent presentation, Troy. On the ARN discussion board, the
Origin-of-Life Foundation's Gene emergence prize (or whatever it is called)
got some press a week or two ago. A board participant emailed the
organization, and received a reply from one D.L. Abel. He was leter referred
to by ID proponants as a 'prominent scientist', and a 'nationally-recognized
scientist'. Searching the literature for Abel, one finds 4 publications,
none of them dealing with abiogenesis or evolution in any way. When
IDists/creationists consider a 'nobody' a prominent, nationally recognized
scientist apparently only because they are directly or indirectly associated
with some sort of ID-enthusiast-group, then their concept of 'prominent' and
'nationally-recognized' is skewed indeed....
