No evidence of a who. So why invoke it when natural mechanism can explain it.

Simple gene duplications, mutations, selection.

SJ: If God "worked miracles" such as supernaturally increasing the information
content of genomes, then it wouldn't be "evolutionary". It would be
*creationary*.
And such a hypothesis is non-scientific as well.
