According to Webster's New World Dictionary:

four-flush, vi.... 2. (Colloq.) to pretend to be, have, or intend
something so as to deceive; bluff.

It comes from stud poker (where 4 of the 5 cards are dealt face up) in
which one bluffs with the four visible cards of the same suit instead of
all five for a true flush.
