Just a point, Joseph. Evolution, in whatever definition one wishes to
express it, is not something one "believes in," but simply a scientific
theory which helps organize a collection of data and, hopefully, suggests
future research ideas. As such, it is, and has been, enormously
successful. But it is not a "religion," although some have used it as the
basis for one (Julian Huxley, for one).

Substitute "Darwinism" for the word "evolution" in your statement, and it
makes some sense, if one defines that term (Darwinism) to be a
philosophical/religious position that our presence here is wholly
accidental, not influenced by any outside agency such as a Creator. Used
in this way, I will agree with your statement ...

"As for me and my house, we do not believe in Darwinism...."

Does this help? (to others -- yes, I know the term "Darwinism" is also
used in other ways, but I don't have another term to use here).
