>>>1. Is the seven days of creation seven literal days or
billions of years. Can we trust radiometric dating? <<<

Personally, I have trouble with some that say 'believe in the 7 literal
days or your going to Hell' idea.
1. The Sun, Moon and Stars were not created until the 4th day, and those
are what we base our chronology on.
2. The 7th day is still going on, apparently. God did not complete the
picture as He did with the other 6 days.(evening and morning....)
3. The same word 'yom' is used in Genesis 2:4 as 'the day when the Lord
made...(KJV ) as that used in describing creation. It is also used to
describe A. a 12 hour day, Gen. 1: 4-5, (God called the light DAY and the
darkness He called NIGHT), B. a 24 hour day (and there was evening and
morning, one DAY).

Personally, I do not trust radiometric dating. One example that comes to
mind. A mound has appeared within the last few years at Mt. St. Helens
that erroneously has been dated over a million years old. There are alot
of very smart people on this reflector that disagree, however.

>>>2. The
> evolution/creation argument is another dilemma for me. I believe God did
> create us but "how?" is my question<<<<

That question is what causes all the fervid debate to begin with on this
reflector. I differentiate between macro-evolution, (the gradualism that
chance mutations would eventually produce fish, mammals, birds and
reptiles). That is not science, but an unprovable, specious philosophy
that masquerades as a science - and microevolution,(something that has
been proven by the science labs in repetition and seems to be nothing more
than variation within a gene pool).

Anyway, welcome aboard. There is interesting reading on almost (but not
quite) every post.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
and do not rely on your own insight.. Pr. 3:5
