In several recent messages and threads I've noted a distinct lack of
courtesy and respect. We are free to disagree and argue our differences,
but we are not free to express those in a disrespectful manner. Most of us
in this group are Christians or are at least sympathetic with a theistic
position. To those I will appeal to your Christian profession and that you
make your speech gracious and assume that most of those you are dealing
with here are brothers or sisters in the Lord. For those of you who are
not Christians I ask simply that you maintain gracious and respectful
speech toward one another.
This group has long had a reputation of not being like other internet
discussion groups where people are downright nasty to one another. I would
like that to continue. If you disagree with this, we would ask that you
not participate.
I will assume that the group can remain self-policing on this matter and
that nothing further will need to be done.
Thank you for your cooperation.
