Fred Hallberg wrote an article in Zygon critiquing Barrow and
Tipler's _Anthropic Cosmological Principle_ ( 23:1988, pp. 139-157).
In discussing B & T's most speculative version, the "Final Anthropic
Principle" he quotes that lovable agnostic curmudgeon Martin Gardner:
"Martin Gardner was moved by their grandiose claims to rename FAP "the
completely ridiculous anthropic principle, or CRAP" "(Hallberg, p. 147)
cf. Martin Gardner "WAP, SAP, PAP, AND FAP." _NEW YORK REVIEW OF BOOKS_
33 (8 May, 1986): 22-25.
