Then why are Michigan hospitals full of Canooks getting treated when they are wait-listed under the Canadian Health Care system?  Who wants to die in the queue breathing fresh Canadian air?

(Okay, Terry, pull the plug we are off track)

Long live European socialism, it's a great system.

My wife's consultant said that US hospitals will get every penny/dime they can if she needs hospital treatment. The same for me..

The inspiration of the National Health service and our welfare state came from the Christian Socialism of Archbishop William Temple and the tradition going back many years

I used to work for a health insurance company.  They denied coverage to attorneys.  Why-  They were considered a bad risk.  That's the free market system.  Health insurance companies like any other companies can choose who they want to do business with.  That's how capitalism works.
