Perhaps so, but Bernie, these do "preach". That is to say that they may
indeed be unsatisfying in their lack of specificity or
oversimplification to a science-oriented frame of mind. Nonetheless,
this language does communicate that there are several kinds of
significant and complementary differences to an audience that is less or
differently academically prepared. This is the more anecdotal or
plausibility case-making that has a power to persuade where the
languages of science and logic fail to communicate (which might
arguably be the case for most people). The YEC folks have become quite
good at this. The yeh-but crowd (like us) essentially lacks the skills
or inclination to make this sort of argument/explanation.
