Louie Giglio is the former youth leader of a local megachurch here pastored by Andy Stanley, son of Charles Stanley, former president of the Southern Baptist Convention and pastor of First Baptist Atlanta for the last 30 years.

I tried to get Hugh Ross in to speak there and was referred to Louie but never got a response from him. I didn't know he was the laminin guy though so I guess that explains it now. He is a popular draw for Christian singles though and when he was pastoring there they had over 1000 show up for a contemporary service on Friday nights.

It is a shame that all this dynamism is being so misdirected. He could have a tremendous impact for good on a lot of youth and remove the needless wedge between science and faith. We should pray for him.
