Sure enough.

About every 20-25 years the fashion industry recycles styles that are
"new" to the younger generation. Currently, the ugly 60's and 70's
styles are back in vogue.

Unfortunately, fashions aren't the only thing that is "recycled" ever
25 years or so. Today, the SAME "global-cooling" eco-whackos are
back at it - only this time their tack is "global warming". Go back
and read all the "environmentalist" literature from the 60's and 70's
and you will see that what you are reading today is the same ugly
garbage being recycled almost word for word - by the SAME people (in
politics, science and religion).

Fundamentalist religious kooks (environmentalist extremists, ALL) are
able to regain a certain short-lived influence over society because a
new generation has been born who haven't yet been burned by their
hysterical "crisis" fear-mongering of one sort or another, and become
disillusioned.

The ones that HAVE been burned by them are the ones who are
countering these 60's re-treads now. It's the old, "fool me once,
shame on you - fool me twice shame on me" in action.

Those who are falling for the re-tread's eco-whacko BS are going to
get burned - and when they realize that they fell for "end-time
prophecies" that didn't come to pass - some of them will be in the
trenches against the next crop of "true-believers" 20-30 years from now.

There's NOTHING new under the sun... and for EVERY naive sucker born
every minute there are TWO cynical demagogues / grifters in politics,
religion and science to take him for a ride.

It is denounced by Jesus Christ, but laying guilt trips on people to
control behavior was always an effective tactic of _legalists_ (eg:
the Pharisees, et.al.) It has been used by tyrants of all stripes
(in families, church organizations and politics) all down through history.

Best advice you'll ever get? Here it is: Don't let ANYONE ever lay
a guilt-trip on you. They only do it for one reason - to control you.
