I have no doubt that several doctoral dissertations (in politics, religion,
history, or all 3) will be written about differences between European and
American attitudes toward Israel, based on immigration patterns involving
Jews and Arabs, including the important detail that half of Arabic Americans
are Christians not Muslims--which I would think affects their views on
American foreign policy. European Arabic immigrants are overwhelmingly
Muslims. I mentioned this idea last week to a professor of religion at a
major research university, and he immediately agreed, adding that those
dissertations are probably being written already.
