Isn't that what religious traditions do? Isn't that
theoretically, at least, what the Roman magisterium is
for? Or the more decentralized and ecumenical
approach of the Eastern Orthodox church for dealing
with important issues?
Or are those, or other christian truth seeking
communities deficient for relying, at least in part,
on the authority of scripture?
