    You responded to my post and I was not arguing the point of journalistic
    ignorance. I was arguing that items are selectively published. I think I
    proved my point with the CANWEST Global example. The only journalist I know
    at the National Post is Jeff White. He used to post on the Human Behavior
    and Evolution Society list. I was not impressed with him.
    The problem is not with garden variety journalists. The problem is with
    editorial policy from the top, again, as in my example.

    I do not doubt that there are many responsible journalists, but the
    increasing centralization of media ownership is leading to the loss of free
    speech assisted by the courts and this is happening extensively in both our
    countries.
