    Dr. Fred Brooks recounted the story of a Christian statistician he
    knew who used such a technique. Like the apostles, he had narrowed
    down the possibilities to two job options based on all available
    information. He then flipped a coin to decide which offer to take.

    I think that the choice proved to be good, with the situation at the
    other department deteriorating soon after his choice, but I am not
    confident about my memory of that part of the story.
