I too would request that there not be a restricted list. I am not an ASA
member, but I have benefited greatly from the listserve. Lately I have been
using my delete button much more quickly than usual, and perhaps you may
decide that some action by a moderator is required.

I think having two lists would simply add confusion. Post to both lists or
to just one? If posting to both, how does one deal with differing responses?
We went through all of this when both the ASA list and the evolution@calvin
lists were operating. Duplication and confusion reigned.
