Lucy et al.,
Our thoughts and prayers are very much with you and with our friends in the
US. Here, "up in Canada," the flag at our research site has been flying at
half mast and the CEO has asked us to observe a moment of silence tomorrow
in memory of those who were snatched from our midst. The attack has torn
the very fabric of your (and our) society and it's difficult to see how we
can collectively put things right again.
Shalom,
Chuck

To All:
Thanks for the comment from Iain. One of my longtime friends in
Louisville, Kentucky has three sons. One is an engineer working on
contract for the military. He was placed yesterday afternoon on a
battleship of some type in the Pacific near Seattle. Another son is
also an engineer and was scheduled for a meeting at the Pentagon
YESTERDAY morning but was delayed in arriving to the meeting. The
meeting was scheduled in the section hit by the airplane. The third son
is in the Air National Guard and was notified yesterday afternoon that
he might expect to be called soon to Wright Patterson in Ohio. He's in
medical school. I only share this to let our overseas friends know how
much this horrible situation has touched the life of every American.
This is surely one of the darkest days.
Lucy
