He came into his glory at His resurrection and took the thrown of the
kingdom at His ascension and began to rule His kingdom from heaven:

Matthew 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven:
and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and
whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. (how can
Jesus give the keys of control to something that didn't exist yet?)

Luke 11:20 But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the
kingdom of God is come upon you. (It was there at that time!)

Luke 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the
kingdom of God is within you. (WE have the best description of the Kingdom
here, its not a political rule for a thousand years, its an internal reign
    of Christ in our lives)

Luke 22:16 For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be
fulfilled in the kingdom of God.

The common misconception is to place this in our future, when Jesus said it
was in the immediate future. It depends on the presupposition you come to
    the verse with...

Since the Messiah is shown being born in Revelation 12:5 And she brought
forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her
child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. The Kingdom is clearly a
result of the Messiahs mission to earth, not some nebulous future prophetic
    event.

Satan is bound in Revelation 20: 2-3, this is easy to interpret since we
have Jesus own words of when this occurred in history: Matthew 12:29 Or
else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods,
except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.
Jesus gives an accurate time reference that we can equate with John's
apocalyptic gospel in Revelation. Jesus says he bound Satan in Matthew 12,
an event John records in Revelation 20.

Revelation is an apocalyptic vision of the Olivet Discourse. This important
sermon is contained in all of the gospels, except John, because John gives
us the Olivet Discourse in the for of apocalypse!
