FYI; hepatitis B is not a retrovirus, it is in the hepadnaviridae family.
Retroviruses (family retroviridae)are RNA viruses that are copied into DNA
as part of their replication cycle; Hep B is a DNA virus.

Another retroviral disease of humans seems to be hepatitus B. I got this
from www.britannica.com and looking for retroviruses. There is also at
the moment a story on the changing of avian leukosis virus (ALV-J) that
seems a relevant parallel to the variations in HIV strains and their
virulence.
