I did track down the reference; Collapse of Evolution, 2nd. edition, about
p. 133 claims that there are no transitions between the transitional horse
morphologies.

A possible example of claiming that there are no transitions between
transitional forms comes from a debate described at the Southeastern
Geological Society of America meeting, in which the creationist was
insisting that a basal mammal with double jaw joint should be called a
reptile, as it still has the reptilian jaw articulation.
