Would you accept the definition of "theory" as: a concept that is not yet
verified but that if true would explain certain facts or phenomena?
If so Creation is a theory, if not what definition would make evolution a
good theory and creation not a theory at all? >>

@@@@ No. A theory in the scientific sense is an explanation of observed
phenomena that has (or can have) experimental and or observational evidence
in its support. Thus far, all creation has is attempts to say evolution is
wrong and some 'research' of questionable quality - all of which is required
to fit the biblical narrative.
