You obviously don't know much about crane and lifting technology today. I
work in the offshore oil industry. We have cranes that can lift thousands
of tons. The DB102 offshore crane can lift 12000 tons. They use it to lift
the top decks of oil platforms off of barges and place the decks on top of
the platform bases. That crane, even on water, can gently place a 5000 ton
assembly within a quarter inch of where it is supposed to be in order to
mate with the platform base.

Concerning heavy objects being moved, the Troll platform in the North sea
was probably the heaviest object moved. It weighed over 1 million tons.
