I'm curious if they were fired for the bare fact of being a creationist, or for exhibited behavior. If the former they could have a religious discrimination lawsuit, if the latter, then you are home free. All you would have to do is not misrepresent evidence pertaining to evolution, always scrupulously back up extraordinary claims, and be careful to always use the scientific method when trying to discredit the other side or prove your claims. The scientific method is dear to the hearts of most university science departments who will not accept discarding it lightly.
My comments:
For your information my colleagues did none of those things. They simply said evolution was pseudoscience and tried to prove it. For that they were denied tenure and dismissed. As for lawsuits, my lawyer tells me that since creationism is not a religious denomination and as long as I am not fired for being a Christian, I have no case.
Your comments suggest that creation scientists or ID theorists regularly do these things. In fact every evolutionist I've known has at one time or another misrepresented evidence pertaining to evolution, refused or failed to scrupulously back up extraordinary claims, and willfully ignored the scientific method whenever it suited there purposes. I mean, I've sat in on department meetings where the overwhelming evidence against evolution has been discussed and lamented, and heard the chairman to remark, "Heaven help us if any of this evidence ever gets published." I tell you the evolutionists are running scared and they'll do anything to hide the truth.

perhaps you are at the wrong university. Most details of evolutionary theory are under constant examination. You may not have noticed that Evolutionary theory is always in flux (like nearly every scientific theory) and the discussion and questions are always ongoing.
My comments:
What you say is true, but what is discussed is how to hide the failure of evolutionary "theory" (doctrine really) to explain anything observed of the natural universe (without distorted or faked evidence that is). And the flux you mention (which I have noticed) is simply a desperate attempt to keep dancing as the barn burns down.
