"One bedrock issue is abiogenesis. It has never been observed. All the
experiments have failed. It is not science."
Let me unpack that.
"One bedrock issue is abiogenesis."
OK. This is just a noun. It refers (all a noun can do) to a process which
may, or may not, have ever taken place. Coined in 1870 by Huxley, it is a
neutral noun. It is not, and cannot be, an "issue." It's just a word.
"It (abiogenesis) has never been observed.
All the experiments have failed"
OK. This is a pair of statements about the noun. Both are true, and
unchallenged, at least at this point of time, as far as I know. So they
are
not an "issue." Nobody is saying they are untrue.
It (abiogenesis) is not science.
OK, this could be an issue. But it is not phrased in such a way for
me to tell exactly how you mean it. Let me rephrase it as follows:
"It, the study of possible abiogenesis possibilities, is not a science."
Is this what you mean?
