Hate to burst your preconceived bubble here but any Christian Theistic
evolution does indeed believe in an immanent god who performs miracles in
his universe. We all believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, which 1.
does not come from naturalism, 2. demonstrates that God is not a god of the
gaps, 3. is evidence that God does in deed influence this world.

On the other hand, though, many young-earth/global flood advocates want God
to entertain them with amazing feats of the miraculous rather than having
God work through any material process. The plain fact is that God created
all the processes that keep us alive like photosynthesis, mutation in
microbes to help them survive the onslaught of antibiotics, the law of
gravity, the laws of electromagnetism etc. Why do we christians not want
God to use the processes He created?
