Science and Research Foundation, whose members are researchers and
intellectuals, founded in 1990 and since then performs activities which
are touching on the subjects that determine the worldâs and Turkeyâs
agenda.
One of the activities performed by the foundation recently is the
series of international conferences named "The Collapse of the
Evolution Theory and the Reality of Creation". The first of these
conferences was organised in Istanbul on 4 April 1998, the second one
was again in Istanbul on 5 July 1998 and the third one was in Ankara on
12 July 1998. The evolution theory has been cross-examined
scientifically with these activities for the first time in Turkey. For
years, the Evolution Theory has been presented by certain circles as
the only fact explaining the origins of human beings and the whole
universe. During the activities mentioned above, by the statements and
the scientific evidences presented by the world wide known scientists,
it has been proven that the Evolution Theory which was inculcated to
people by those certain circles is in fact a big fallacy and that the
existence of all the living creatures and the universe apparently shows
us the existence of a Creator. The contradictions among the statements
of the defenders of the Evolution, the invalidity of their supposedly
evidences and the fact that their evidences are contradictory to
scientific data shows that the evolution is only an assumption based
belief.
Its been observed that the demand to the conferences was too high. All
the conferences began with a multivision presenting scientifically the
impasses of the evolution theory. The speakers demonstrated various
slides supporting their points. For the audience who could not enter
the conference hall because of the overcrowd, screens were located
outside the hall and the conference was broadcasted lively for them
also.
The first one of "The Collapse of Evolution Theory and The Reality of
Creation" Conferences was held in Cemal Resit Rey Hall, Istanbul.
Audience of Istanbul showed great interest in the conference and 1200
people attended. Prof. Dr. Duane Gish and Prof. Dr. Kenneth Cumming -
two world wide known scientists on biochemistry and palaeontology from
American Institute for Creation Research - explained with the
scientific data and evidences that the evolution theory had no
scientific base, and also mentioned that the supposedly evidences
claimed by the evolutionists had not been revealed yet in spite of the
steady researches carried on for years and that these researches would
not get anywhere in the future. In the Conference, Prof. Dr. Cevat
Babuna, one of the respected scientists of Turkey, and Mr. Bahadir
GŸven as the representative of Science and Research Foundation also
lectured and they mentioned that evolution theory was only a belief,
and there were hundreds of evidences that could refute this theory.
The second one of the International Conferences was organised again in
Cemal Resit Rey Hall in Istanbul. World wide known scientists
participated in the Conference. They disclosed that all the related
scientific data refutes Darwinism and that they all point to Creation
apparently. Michael P. Girouard, Professor of Biology at California
Institute for Creation Researches, Edward A. Boudreaux, Professor of
Chemistry at University of New Orleans, Carl Fliermans, Professor of
Microbiology and Ecology at University of Indiana, David N. Menton,
Professor of Anatomy at University of Washington, world wide known
Duane T. Gish, Professor of Biochemistry and Palaeontology and Vice
President of Institute of Creation Research, John D. Morris, Professor
of Geology and The President of Institute of Creation Research and Edip
Keha, Professor of Biochemistry at Karadeniz Technical University were
the lecturers in the Conference. They stated that evolution had no
validity at the molecular level, and that the microbiology exterminated
all the assertions of the evolutionists from every aspect. In the time
of Darwin - in 19th century - microbiology was not known as a science
and that it was impossible to talk about the origins of the universe
without the electron microscope which was not then discovered. They
proved on a scientific basis that the micro world, which Darwin had
thought, was "simple", in fact was very complex and that this complexity
could not be explained by evolution.
The third Conference was in Hotel Sheraton, Ankara (the capital city of
Turkey). More than 2500 people attended. The lecturers were Prof. Dr.
Edward A. Boudreaux, Prof. Dr. David Menton, Prof. Dr. Duane T. Gish
and Prof. Dr. Cevat Babuna. It was observed that the audience was
mostly the scientists and young people as well as some parliamentaries.
At the end of the conference Prof. Dr. Cevat Babuna made a call to the
defenders of the evolution theory and said: "I would like to address to
evolutionist scientists through media. I invite them to these
conferences. I invite them to see the reality. Do not be the victim of
your ideology."
All along the conference the lecturers added that evolution was only an
assumption which had no single evidence. What they also dwelled upon is
that some circles are trying to hide the reality deliberately and they
show great effort to make people blind about it. This reality is; all
the universe is the masterpiece of a very special design. And this
designer is Allah; the only Creator of the earth and the heavens and
all in that is between.
