Thanks Ron. For the record I pussyfooted around for years trying to be nice
to the `Christian Darwinists' (as Pat Pun calls them). All I received for my
pains were attacks and ad hominems. It finally came to a head when
Brian Harper tried to have me silenced by calling a snap poll (which I was
unaware of) as to whether I was "abusing the list". Thankfully it backfired
on Brian, and he (and I) found I had a lot of support on the Reflector among
the lurkers.
This experience was a defining moment for me and I resolved in future that
I would step up the pressure on the Darwinists, who I regard as sincerely
wrong. I regret nothing that I have posted, which is not to say that I could not
always do it better.
BTW, my sense of call to this `ministry' was strenghened by a second-hand
book dealer ringing me with the news that he had found a copy of Pitman's
"Adam and Evolution", which was one of the important Creation/Evolution
books I read in a library at the beginning.
This came in the middle of the `ad hominem' controversy and I interpreted it as
a further sign from the Lord (there have been others), that, like a good soldier,
I should pick myself up, dust myself off, and keep going!
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." (Php 4:13).
