I'd classify this position as far too narrow. My arguments would be those
found in Mill's ON LIBERTY. No need to repeat them here.
I know some of the ICR people, for instance, personally and call at least
one of them "friend." They follow where their minds and hearts have led
them. As I do. In my many arguments with them (over the past 20 years or
so), we have remained "friends" even though in substantial disagreement
on many issues.
One of the "best" YEC proponents I know of is Gosse, who wrote OMPHALOS
back in 1857. Do I think him to be wrong? Of course. Can I refute his
arguments? By no means. Should he still be heard? I believe so.
