RS: And if it is so easy for people to "misinterpret" the teachings of
Jesus, what does that say about the reliability of the objective,
universal, eternal moral standard?

That is what I am trying to say all this time. I was hoping to hear why a
christian moral is objective, universal and eternal. The way I see it,
christian morality is based upon an interpretation which is both
subjective, can change in time, depends on the underlying culture and is
certainly not universal, even allowing the universe to be limited to this
earth. Eternal ? Not only interpretation of the standard has changed but
who can guarantee that God will not change his/her mind on this issue ? Is
it 'thou shall not kill' or 'an eye for an eye' ?
