Jim: Hinduism developed over about thousands of years and has no single
founder or creed. Its rise is thus nothing like that of Christianity.

Pim: No but who can say who is right ? There are after all many hundreds of
religions and christianity is but one of the many.

Jim: Pim, stay on one argument at a time. The issue is the deity of
Christ. One
argument in support is the ORIGIN of the resurrection story in the face of
certain persecution and death.

How certain was this persecution and death and how certain would if have
been if they had admitted the lie of Jesus' resurrection ? What would be
the alternatives ? thousands losing their face through the actions of an
imposter ? Loss of life due to irate followers taking the law into their
own hands and punish those they considered to be 'co-conspirators' ?

Jim: You contented the same thing could be said of Islam and Hinduism. I
demonstrated that it cannot. Their beginnings were decidedly different.

I am merely pointing out that there is as much reason to doubt or belief
other religions as there is to believe or doubt christianity.

Jim: Now, as to the ultimate truth of various religions, that is another
question. Let me ask you this: Is it possible that a religion can have
some truth, but not all?

You mean they were lied to by their deity ? A god of deception ? I don't
know if such would sell well to followers.
And what is correct and what is not ? How does one decide this ? A
personal decision ? Like a personal god for everyone ?
