forum--

Some pretty strong words have been stated concerning evolution and racism.
I believe that were back to the problem of definitions.
Let's say that evolution is totally true(lets make believe). Then are you
a racist by hypothesizing about how humans emerged from apes? For
instance, did all the different body types and colors evolve from a common
set of apes at one time? Im being serious. If they didn't, then did
whites comes from blacks? Etc and etc......
If you start talking about the emergence of different types of peoples as
you do when talking about how dogs may have emerged, is this racist?
Im not racist at all and in fact have friends who i dearly respect
representing each continent. However, when your talking about evolution,
you cant help but talk about race.
In my opinion evolution undermines the inteligence of everyone. Believing
that the principles of evolution are true leads to the belief that we all
came from sort of ape or primate(or i guess something else might be
possible). If the discussion of how we came from apes is followed how
can't it become racial? Somewhere along the line different types of people
were evolved from more primative forms. Somewhere along some of these
people who where of the human species were a little inferior to us. So how
cant the implications of evolution be a little racial?
I really dont wish to be called names, im just commenting in a hopefully
constructive manner.

As a side note:

I take my statement back saying that I wasn't a RACIST...........i
personally detest monkeys and baboons, this is the part of zoos a dislike
most, i just do,, dont like thier noises, i really do like the squirrels
and animals of this type....eventhough i enjoy hunting squirrels and
probably wouldn't enjoy hunting monkeys.
Lastly, i am requesting that those who want to reply to my comments not
disect my comments up into little fragments but rather include the whole
message and reply at the end. I like context:)
