Q&A on the NTSE

UT? Or only philosophers? Personally, I have a problem with a bunch of
philosophers getting together to discuss how scientists "should" do
science.>>
Most of these attacks on Compuserve; I might interpret some of the
evolution reflector posts the same way. I also get private e-mail (such as
yours) -- mostly I reply very abruptly to that (if at all) but that is a
function of who writes (you have the credibility with me to take time for
an answer).
The mix at the conference was 50:50 (my estimate) scientists &
philosophers. When the subject of your last sentence came up, it was agreed
(generally) that the philosophers' work was descriptive, not prescriptive
nor proscriptive.
