<<I am going to read you the riot act on this because you keep downplaying the
importance of mistakes like the one Johnson has in his book. One friend of
mine, a paleontologist, thinks that Johnson made this mistake on purpose as
part of a dishonest strategy. I don't agree with him, but that is how a
secular person views creationists because that is our reputation--ignore
contrary data and don't worry about the correctness of the facts.>>
No need for the riot act. When it comes to the numerous factual errors you
posted, I AGREE with you. I've agreed with you on this in the past. I think
you have pointed out numerous errors. In our discussion I was focusing just on
Phil's book, and that one part you keep harping on.
I do agree with you, Glenn, about the sloppy work that has often been done by
Christian apologists. However, I see people like Phil Johnson as part of a new
wave, who are much better. Yes, Phil has made mistakes, but who hasn't? Gould?
Dawkins? (And the charge that Phil has been purposely dishonest is ludicrous.)
So no riots here, pal. Only hockey games. And I think just as deserving of
time in the penalty box are all the evolutionists who claim that science
proves we are accidents. Now THAT'S purposely deceitful. You want to talk
about God holding people accountable? That's one scene that won't be pretty.
