Glen,
1. Thank you for explaining how completely new and
different chromosomes could come about through
chromosome breakage or fusion.
2. Thanks for your reply to my

3. I do not agree with many of Donald Patten's
ideas. For example: A) He thinks the universe is only
about 200 million years old. I disagree. B) He thinks
an ice dump resulted in all the ice over the North
and South poles. I disagree. C) He thinks every time
Mars passed close enough it's gravitational pull
raised up specific mountain ranges. I disagree. I
think we can accept the radiometric dates for the
various mountain ranges. D) In his old book "The
Biblical Flood and the Ice Epoch" his idea was
basically that a planet made one, rather involved,
pass by the earth. His new ideas are in his
new book, "Catastrophism and the Old Testament."
His new idea is that Mars due
to the gravitational pull of Jupiter and Saturn
starting around 10,000 B.C. to 701 B.C. made an
astronomically speaking close pass by earth
approximately every 54 years. He feels every 10th
pass would have been closer than the others due
to the change in Jupiter and Saturn's positions.
I disagree with his use of the paleomagnetic
polar reversals to compute the number of passes
Mars made. I also do not believe that the passing
Mars caused the paleomagnetic polar reversals.
E) He thinks the flood was in 2484 B.C. I disagree.
I think it was around 10,044 B.C.
I have to go due to a scheduling conflict but will
send some more thoughts later.
