The title is "The Role of Theology in Current Evolutionary Reasoning,"
and it will be appearing in _Biology and Philosophy_ (Kluwer), the
journal edited by Michael Ruse. Some months ago, Ruse told me the
article would appear in the last issue of volume 11, 1996. It's been
a few weeks since I've been to Crerar Library here at school, so I
don't know if that issue is out yet. Folks on this list may be
interested in this particular issue of _Biology and Philosophy_
-- I think Phil Johnson is going to have an article in it, and Ruse
said there might be other articles about science and theology.
On the issue of retinal design: I'd be interested in hearing
from Mike Anderson, or anyone else for that matter, exactly
how it was established that the vertebrate retina is suboptimal,
or that the cephalopod retina is superior to the vertebrate retina.
I've spent a fair bit of time looking into the available
literature, and sorry, but -- as far as I have been able to
discover -- these claims are entirely groundless.
