I have been away a few days, and upon my return I have not had the
chance to catch up on my e-mail, especially those regarding the recent
exchanges between GlennM and myself. I have not read any posts yet, so
what I am expressing has not been affected by anything written recently.
To get back up to speed, I quickly reviewed last weekend's posts and
feel that I need to offer an apology to you all for the tone of what was
posted. I knew that I was thinking on the fly late one evening as
evidenced by the amount of typos! The exchange should have perhaps gone
private or remain unsaid.
To Glenn too, please accept my apology also. While I felt that the
tactics of the disussion became a tad too personal, I should not have
contributed to that myself. Often times, the way that we express
ourselves or pose questions can be viewed as an affrontage. The other
thing that I now realize is the emotion attached to one's work, which
can be easily manifested when that work is questioned.
I have given some thought as to why discussions between creationists and
evolutionists often degenerate and hope to post some observations
regarding this in the near future.
