Regarding the first, what do you mean by human development?
Regarding the second, my response is more theological. We are blessed
with it because we have Adam's birthright and have been "formed in the
womb" by God as in Isaiah 44:2.
Someone else with a naturalistic tendency can look for the mechanism!
