Well, I guess I'm amazes that you are so willing to jump to a conclusion
without adequate support. We can leave off this discussion of mutual amazement
if you wish.

<< You claim that the
treatment of 1808 was more apelike and yet I bet you have not even read a
single book on the behavior of chimps.>>

I'll take that bet, though it has been awhile since my college courses on the
subject. But you're really overreacting to a minor point, viz.:

<<You say that healthy apes, fending off predators in their own self
interest and inadvertently protecting 1808, is ape behavior, You are
showing that you really have not studied this area at all but are
preferring your philosophical position over and above any serious study.>>

All I said was it LOOKS more apelike than manlike. From this you draw all
sorts of conclusions about what I know or don't know, and spend the rest of
your post copying Jane Goodall. I think you flew off the handle just a bit
here. I was not in any way intending to get into an excursis on chimps. I was
not going into detail on chimp behavior at all (and I did read a lot of
Goodall in college.)

I know you got a little frustrated. Sometimes that happens to you. But there
was no need here. Chimp behavior is not a major point of contention. I wasn't
building any big argument for you to get bothered about. Save your big guns
for the real meat, not the crumbs!
