Well, I reckon I've just about worn out my welcome here.
It may well be that I am in fact one of our Lord's most retarded
children. But as we know, "it is appointed for all men to die
once, and then the judgement." So, I'm sorry, but I just don't
have any fear of standing before Him and being rebuked for taking
His word literally! I just don't have any fear of Him saying to
me, "Tony, you moron, can't you understand plain Hebrew? Don't you
know when I said 'yom', I meant 'alaph alaph shaneh'?"
Anyway, it's time to move on.
I just wanted to say thanks, you all have been very helpful to me
and I appreciate it.
If I could just make one comment...
I can't help but notice a certain lack of, ah... *joviality* here.
Actually, it seems to me that a majority of you guys are completely
lacking any sense of humor whatsoever! I mean, come on, lighten
up a little bit! You take yourselves too seriously.
Where is the *joy of thy salvation* ?
If we, as Christians, can't be joyful, knowing without a doubt the
meaning of our existence, the outcome of history, and the glorious
future that awaits us, then something is very wrong.
It was suggested to me here by Tom Moore that I try a rather
involved exercise, which I am currently still in the process of.
May I suggest a much simpler exercise for you all?
Loosen up those skinny black ties and try smiling once in a while!
With your face. Not that silly :-) thing. It's not the same.
I know, it hurts.
But as I was just reading here, "no pain - no gain". You'll
eventually get used to it.
Who knows, you may even begin to enjoy it.
Anyway, I guess that's it.
